I started cleaning my Gramma’s cupboards when I was five years old for a stick of juicy fruit gum. I worked my way up to a milk jug and then allowance for cleaning my relatives’ homes. Twenty years ago, I had a dream I had a company named Maid-Mart and we cleaned houses throughout the GTA. I woke up and started cleaning and never looked back.
Back then, we were the only company in Durham Region that detailed cleaned houses, the old-fashioned way, like Gramma taught me, by damp dusting – and we grew fast – now we clean offices, carpets, and windows as well.
We even have a handywoman for some jobs, contacts for yards, contractors, and real estate agents – since we work with them, we can recommend the best ones.
Maid-Mart loves going out of our way for seniors and paying special attention to everything like lights, or baseboards, or tops of fridges where you can’t normally reach.
We’ve always offered seniors a discount from our regular prices with $10 an hour off with two girls. Call us for a free estimate.
During the pandemic, we are considered essential services because we clean government offices, seniors’ homes, and clients with special needs.
When we go into a home, we wear a mask and gloves and always sanitize our equipment and bring in fresh cloths and mops. At the start of our day, we have a temperature gun and no one at Maid-Mart is allowed to come to work feeling sick – this is the only reason why your cleaning could be cancelled. So far, we’ve been really safe and had no incidents.
