Hospitals across the province will soon be getting a facelift.<\/p>\n

An investment of $175 million will be going to 128 hospitals for upgrades, repairs and maintenance, according to a recent press release.<\/p>\n

Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care Christine Elliott says the investment will help hospitals continue to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients to receive care.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe health and safety of patients and families is a priority for our government,\u201d says Elliott. \u201cThat\u2019s why we must make the necessary investments in our hospitals how, to ensure our providers have the facilities they need to continue to provide excellent quality care to patients,\u201d she continues.<\/p>\n

This funding will allow hospitals to address urgent issues, including upgrades or replacements of roofs, windows, heating and air conditioning systems, fire alarms and back-up generators.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur government is investing in essential health care projects to ensure the people of Ontario will have health care services they can depend on now and for future generations,\u201d says Elliott. \u201cWe will continue to listen to the patients and the people who plan and work on the frontlines.
